Tube Size:
Granular: 1-1/4” (32mm) O.D.
Liquid Phos: 3/16” (5mm) O.D. This can be converted to work with 1/4” (6mm) I.D. delivery hoses with 880-ASY-1010.
Tip Options: Cast chrome tip (612-TIP-0711 & 612-TIP-0712) with carbide inserts on the nose and the wing for excellent penetration and wear resistance. The seed is placed in a 3/4” (19mm) band onto a firm, unfractured seedbed. Assembly includes the tip.
Overview: The seed is directed rearward through the holder which places the seed in one row off to the side on a firm, unfractured seedbed. Extra hard surfacing on critical wear areas increases the life of the holder.
Notes: Installation bolts sold separately. Use M8x30 Class 10.9 Carriage Head bolts. Must be purchased through your John Deere dealer.
All wings on sideband openers must be pointing inward to the centre of the seeding unit to prevent plugging when turning. Customers must order half left and half right wing openers.
