SIDE BAND SEED OPENER

Fertilizer Type: Double Shoot Liquid N (682-ASY-2063 / 2064)

Seed Placement: The slim body provides a low draft and low soil disturbance for better trash clearance while ensuring great seed placement. The seed is placed in a 3/4” (19mm) band onto a firm, unfractured seedbed.
Fertilizer Placement: Liquid N or Pressurized NH3 openers are fitted with 1/4″ (6mm) O.D. stainless steel tube which places fertilizer behind the wing and 1-1/2″ outward to the side away from the seed band, providing increased separation of seed and fertilizer. Liquid Phos Options: The P openers deliver the liquid phos on top of the seed row. A 1/4” (6mm) stainless steel tube is welded to the back of the seed boot.
Tip Options: Cast chrome tip with extra long carbide inserts on the nose of the tip for excellent penetration and wear resistance. Top face of the wing is covered with two carbide inserts providing excellent wear resistance. The tip is non-replaceable and welded to the seed boot. Assemblies include the tip.
Packer Recommendations: 2-1/4” (57mm) or wider.
Notes: Installation bolts sold separately. Use 3/8″ x 2-1/4″ Grade 8 carriage bolts.
All wings on Side Band openers must be pointing inward to the center of the seeding unit to prevent plugging when turning. Customers should order half left and half right wing openers.
