Accountant

Bourgault Tillage Tools is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial reporting and accounting operations of our group of companies. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, the successful candidate will:

Duties:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
  • Assist with inventory accounting, costing, and manufacturing reporting.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management functions.
  • Assist with intercompany accounting and consolidations.
  • Support ERP system initiatives, including NetSuite reporting and process improvements.
  • Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial reporting and analytical support to management.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to multiple business entities, international operations, ERP systems, and continuous business improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA preferred
  • Degree or diploma in Accounting
  • 3–7 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Manufacturing or multi-entity accounting experience considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian and US tax laws, regulations and reporting requirements
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite considered an asset
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
