Accountant
Bourgault Tillage Tools is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial reporting and accounting operations of our group of companies. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, the successful candidate will:
Duties:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
- Assist with inventory accounting, costing, and manufacturing reporting.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management functions.
- Assist with intercompany accounting and consolidations.
- Support ERP system initiatives, including NetSuite reporting and process improvements.
- Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial reporting and analytical support to management.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to multiple business entities, international operations, ERP systems, and continuous business improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA preferred
- Degree or diploma in Accounting
- 3–7 years of accounting experience preferred
- Manufacturing or multi-entity accounting experience considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of Canadian and US tax laws, regulations and reporting requirements
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite considered an asset
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
